tate’s nursery reveal

tate’s nursery reveal

lets be best friends!

i can remember when i was younger and flipping through the JC Penny catalog, looking at the nursery decor and “planning” my future childrens’ nurseries. well, hello future! and there i was actually planning my unborn child’s room. the hard part? i didn’t know if i was having a boy or a girl, so this had to be a super gender neutral theme. what i did know though, was that a cactus would be the center of it all! you see, i developed this obsession with cacti. i have no idea where it came from but i am obsessed! i am so excited to share Tate’s finished nursery with you all!

from the beginning of my pregnancy, i have been collecting little knick knacks to form a collage behind his rocker. but i’ve added this letterboard to the mix because i love  the idea of changing things up, with a witty saying or special quote. this specific board is from lowell & co. go check them out on instagram! you can’t go wrong with a dr. seuss quote!

i’ve always been a big fan of an accent wall. so naturally, i did that with this room and it is by far my favorite part of it all! i just stare at it every time i sit down and nurse him!

we’ll start with this cacti wallpaper from B Darling! don’t freak, this wallpaper is unlike the old 90’s stuff that took foreverrr to put up AND take down.  it took my mom and i maybe 1.5 hours to put this up. we were amazed at how easy it was and how well it stuck! i also had zero issues with pulling it off when i encountered an air bubble or needed to straighten it up. incredible! and i now want to do my whole house in this stuff, seriously!

THIS sign! i found Karla through her instagram, the Polymath Mom. instantly, i fell in love with her work and had a sign made for Tate’s room. this is her 24 inch round custom name wood sign. the fonts and color combinations are endless, the size and shapes to choose from are too! she just recently opened up her etsy shop and it has been so successful! that she will be temporarily closing this week to fulfill her current orders ! not to worry, she will reopen it in the beginning of August and be on the lookout for an amazing giveaway then! UPDATE! she has reopened her shop as of today, 8/1 and will continue to stay open until she hits a certain number of orders so HURRY! in the meantime, give her a follow! i enjoy seeing all of her custom creations and i’m sure you will too!

i have never seen anything like it! this crib bumper by Juju & Jake is so unique and versatile! pictured is their full crib length bumper. you can get it in any size and they even have the coolest braided pillows with 10 different colors to choose from!

there is something about a personalized pillow with your baby’s name on it that i just love. these pillows from Project Whim are so adorable. Amanda has so many different shapes and sizes from clouds to cacti, to moons and mountains! they are all hand sewn and believe me when i tell you, she is the absolute sweetest shop owner!

simplicity was my goal for this nursery. these shelves from Wooden Geometric were the perfect way to fill this wall in such a simple way. Sadie has so many different shapes and sizes and stains, there are endless possibilities for shelving in her shop!
